Les Choristes - the review

This film will touch your heart with a feeling -so gentle like a touch of feather, so warm like a soothing summer breeze and so innocently sweet like vanilla ice cream..
Could i say the plot somehow reminded me of my fair lady? or Cinderella? A kind soul put all his best effort to transfer apparent-hopeless character into something phenomenal. Only Les Choristes version is pure of virtue and selfless dedication without any magical helps.
The most commendable points for this films could be none other than the soundtracks and the casting. After first view I went straight to dig the r ecord stores for soundtracks (it was not available in Singapore back then and I finally got hold of a copy after my second viewing and it was only when my friend went to Hongkong and found the CD there). The music is heavenly and the vocal is angelic.
The casting was impressive to the point that I didn't feel they were acting at all, especially the kids - they appeared so real, full of genuine feelings - frustrations, appreciations and gratitudes as the story moves on. This cast of mostly young actors are virtually unknown to me (and I believe the same to most of non-french population) and they had earned themselves an extraordinary impression to the world with the pureness of their acting talent.
Watch it and you will love it.
